Channel Sales Head - Beauty & Personal Care

About the Job

You will be responsible for channel sales of the Chumbak’s range of Beauty and Personal Care products pan India. You will develop and execute a profitable, customer-focused sales and marketing strategy for your product category. You should have an insatiable desire to contribute to a young, energetic and fast growing brand that provides the best product experience to customers.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Will have overall responsibilities to drive sales of the Beauty and Personal care category across multiple channels like modern trade, distribution, MBO, and external online channels.
  • Develop the channel strategy for the category, identify the growth opportunities and develop the new channels by leveraging on your existing relationships in the Beauty and Personal care categories.
  • Drive P&L for external channels for the category
  • Sales and promotions of entire range of products in across modern trade, General Trade, Distribution, MBO, and external online channels.
  • Formulate & execute brand plans with channel strategy.
  • Train and develop Sales team, Supervisors and Team of Beauty advisors.
  • Monitor & control distributor ROI, subsidy, sales incentives & budgets.
  • Develop brand execution plan to improve visibility & increase offtakes at Store level.
  • Work closely with Product team to understand product range and give inputs & direction for further development of the product range as per market needs.
  • Ensure customer service requirements are met as per KPIs like Fill rates, shipment plan, credit policy etc.
  • Develop controls over key accounts and influence availability, visibility, planograms, MBQ, range plan and market shares.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments at HO for smooth functioning of overall business.


Desired Experience and Skills

Education : MBA / Graduate
Years of Experience : 10-12 years
 
Should have :

  • Experience in beauty / cosmetics / personal care product segment as a Sales Head / manager.
  • Excellent network with distribution and channel partners and prior commercial experience in driving sales through the partners.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting & financial metrics and the operational expertise of how to maximize the same.
  • Should have strong knowledge on products & market trends.
  • Demonstrates broad leadership capabilities across multiple functions and teams.
  • Demonstrates negotiation skills that secure beneficial outcomes. 
  • Possesses strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
